About the role

Brings the "lived experience" to the virtual telehealth hub to increase individual engagement and complement the service array offered to individuals. These staff also help individuals navigate the health system and link to recovery supports.

Responsibilities

  • Staff peer warm line to provide engagement and supports for individuals who are in need of non-crisis recovery supports.
  • Provide outreach services to individuals served.
  • Provide reliable and relevant information to help individuals overcome barriers that may prevent engagement, retention, or re-engagement in treatment.
  • Provide telephonic intervention to individuals experiencing distress utilizing relevant personal experience, trauma-informed practices, and person-centered methods.
  • Follow up with individuals and provide support as appropriate.
  • Provide peers and their families with information on community and Agency resources.
  • Demonstrate strong customer-service oriented behaviors. Treat everyone in a polite, professional manner. Handle concerns, problems, and issues in a manner that is helpful and responsive.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
