Certified Peer Specialist Community Treatment Team
Position Purpose
To provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community.
What You Will Do
- Provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community.
- As a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), you are first and foremost a peer – meaning that you have lived experience with mental illness and/or addiction – and can serve as a role model for recovery values and principles, providing hopeful information about recovery and wellness.
- Provide stage wise treatment interventions based on the consumer’s stage of change.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must self-identify as an individual with a serious mental illness, who is currently or formerly was a recipient of mental health services, is in the process of his/her/their recovery and has successfully completed training in illness management recovery interventions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current certification as a Certified Peer Specialist.
- Valid driver license.
- Able to drive an organization vehicle.
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances (Criminal/Child/FBI Department of Human Services).
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
- Child Protective Services Law training (CPSL).

- WORK SCHEDULE: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position. Primarily Monday through Friday daylight – hours may vary according to program need.
