Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

About the role

This is a full-time position for a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRS), offered at the discretion of Cedar Recovery based on company needs and candidate interest.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery education and support to Cedar Recovery’s patients at all phases of treatment
• Facilitate recovery planning activities with patients
• Identify and coordinate community resources for patients (housing, food, work, education, relationships, etc.)
• Coordinate care with providers via Cedar’s PIC Center
• Act as a community liaison to develop referral relationships and promote Cedar’s reputation in served areas
• Link individuals to appropriate community-based groups and resources
• Remain connected by phone or email to ensure patients’ ongoing success and engagement in their program
• Lead individual or group peer recovery sessions as directed by the supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist by the TN Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services
• A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated recovery from a substance use and/or mental health disorder
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Excellent verbal and relationship-building skills

Pay

$20–$23 per hour
