The Role
TEWS is seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist to join a leading construction firm in Central Florida.
Responsibilities
- Review Certified Payroll records for accuracy, ensuring all information is complete across Statement of Compliance, Wage and Hour Record, Deduction Record, and Fringe Benefit Record.
- Verify correct pay rates and amounts align with approved wage tables, including project and weekly totals, deductions, and net pay.
- Collaborate with subcontractors on Certified Payroll processes and provide assistance as needed.
- Address Department of Transportation inquiries promptly.
- Profilcience in electronic filing systems.
Requirements
- 4 years of previous experience as a Certified Payroll Specialist.
- Ability to review work for accuracy and neatness.
- Think independently and develop solutions to problems.
- Excellent computer skills including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word); SAP experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Union experience a plus.
Benefits
- $26-$31/hour, depending on experience.
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm in office.
