Certified OR Tech

Department: Surgical Services | Location: Kankakee, IL | Shift: Full-Time, Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM); Call Required

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during surgical cases.
• Provide surgeons with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014).
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Uro).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $20.15 to $28.13 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
