  • Current Louisiana licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Knowledgeable in age-specific patient care, safety, and HIPAA practices

What You Will Do:

  • Support and deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist, fostering patient recovery and independence in areas such as daily living, mobility, and vocational skills
  • Deliver prescribed care tailored to age-specific needs and patient goals
  • Adjust treatments with approval and assist in environment adaptations for patient progress
  • Conduct patient and family education, including providing home programs
  • Participate in assessments, reassessments, and productivity targets
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including billing and patient records per department standards
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discharge planning
  • Assist in recommending equipment and supplies to enhance patient care
  • Provide staff training and educational in-services as needed
  • Rotate across clinical areas and attend mandatory meetings and continuing education for licensure
