Responsibilities
- Provides occupational therapy treatment following the established plan of care and is age, educational level, and culturally appropriate to the patient/family.
- Provides occupational therapy services in accordance with the state practice act.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of occupational therapy services.
- Provides therapy services to inpatient, outpatient, home health, outreach and contract facilities as required by the Prairie Lakes Healthcare system.
- Completes timely and appropriate documentation that reflects the care provided and follows regulatory requirements.
- Establishes appropriate charges for services rendered.
- Affords coordination of patient care schedules to meet productivity standards.
- Ensures equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
- Participates in departmental quality and outcome studies.
- Serves as a clinical instructor for COTA students and high school students.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Holds or is eligible for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited COTA program with an Associate's degree in OT.
- Previous experience with occupational therapy is preferred.
