Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant-PRN

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy treatment following the established plan of care and is age, educational level, and culturally appropriate to the patient/family.
• Provides occupational therapy services in accordance with the state practice act.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of occupational therapy services.
• Provides therapy services to inpatient, outpatient, home health, outreach and contract facilities as required by the Prairie Lakes Healthcare system.
• Completes timely and appropriate documentation that reflects the care provided and follows regulatory requirements.
• Establishes appropriate charges for services rendered.
• Affords coordination of patient care schedules to meet productivity standards.
• Ensures equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
• Participates in departmental quality and outcome studies.
• Serves as a clinical instructor for COTA students and high school students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Holds or is eligible for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited COTA program with an Associate's degree in OT.
• Previous experience with occupational therapy is preferred.

Pay

• $21.70-$32.56
