About the role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides assistance to the occupational therapist in developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment, procedures, and related activities for direct patient care. Join our acute care team as a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you'll play an important role in helping patients regain independence and safely transition through their recovery journey. Working alongside experienced Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team, you'll provide patient-centered treatment to individuals with a variety of conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. This position offers the flexibility of a PRN schedule while providing meaningful opportunities to make a difference in the lives of patients every day.
Location: Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital, Logan, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service standards.
- Competent Services: Provides skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, staying updated on standard practices for different patient groups.
- Conducts treatments according to professional standards (AOTA).
- Productivity Standards: Meets established productivity standards for the department or service line.
- Documentation and Billing: Keeps thorough and timely patient records as required by regulations and facility policies. Completes patient billing accurately and promptly.
