About the role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will provide and administer specific occupational therapy treatments under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADL) training and therapeutic activities aimed at restoring function and preventing disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
Responsibilities
- Provide specific occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADL) training
- Afford therapeutic activities to help restore function and prevent disability
- Support patients in reaching their maximum performance and functional level
- Help patients learn to live within the limits of their capabilities
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Licensure by the State of Ohio
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Preferred)
