About the Role
A Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Horseheads, NY. Bethany Nursing Home (part of Bethany Village) in Horseheads, NY, is a 122-bed not-for-profit facility offering all levels of care- SNF, ALF, ILF and Independent living cottages and apartments.
Responsibilities
Ensure efficient and effective operations
Plan and implement rehabilitation programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data
Provide administrative rehabilitation supervision
Serve as a rehabilitation staff mentor
Provide speech therapy services as needed
Be a licensed speech therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
Have experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
Requirements
Must have graduated from a 2 year accredited PTA program, passed state boards and hold a current valid NY PTA license or be eligible for NY PTA licensure.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a SNF rehabilitation department.
