About the role
We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and student-centered Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This position will support our students in LEARN magnets and district contracts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to create comprehensive student programming.
- Administer screenings, assessments and direct interventions with students.
- Collaboratively develop IEPs to support students to access and engage in their learning and school environments.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through ongoing data collection, analysis and review meetings.
Qualifications
- Appropriate certifications and coursework.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and evidence-based assessments and interventions.
- In-depth understanding of students with complex needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Able to follow therapy plans, document progress accurately, and communicate effectively with supervising therapists and educational teams.
- Commitment to student dignity, inclusion, confidentiality, safety, and equitable access to learning.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, positioning, and supporting students when needed.
