Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

At Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab Center, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote resident rehabilitation and recovery
• Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and strategies to improve daily living skills, mobility, and cognitive function
• Use specialized equipment and assistive technology to enhance resident outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support
• Maintain accurate and timely records of resident treatment progress and outcomes
• Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and discharge planning

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred
• Experience working with geriatric populations or in a long-term care setting
