Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN
Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) under the supervision of the manager assists the Occupational Therapist in delivering treatment and contributes to the assessment process. Duties include documenting treatment, participating in discharge planning, performing administrative tasks, pursuing professional growth, assisting with student education, overseeing the work of aides, volunteers, and students, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One year acute care experience preferred.
- National Certification by NBCOT and BLS certification from AHA or ARC required within 3 months of hire.
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy. No experience required.
Special Qualifications
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate with patients using auditory input and output.
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
- Associate Degree.
