Areas of Responsibility

• Assist occupational therapists in providing occupational therapy treatments and procedures.
• May assist in development of treatment plans.
• Carry out routine functions.
• Direct activity programs.
• Document the progress of treatments.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and three (3) years of related work experience along with active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred.
• Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required.
• Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must.
