Areas of Responsibility
- Assist occupational therapists in providing occupational therapy treatments and procedures.
- May assist in development of treatment plans.
- Carry out routine functions.
- Direct activity programs.
- Document the progress of treatments.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma and three (3) years of related work experience along with active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred.
- Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required.
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must.
