Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)- Part -Time
What You'll Do
- Administers Occupational Therapy patient care programs as planned with and directed by OTR.
- Receives direct OTR supervision for 10% of treatment time.
- Affords assistance to the OTR when performing tests, evaluations, and/or complex treatment procedures, whenever necessary.
- Fulfills daily conferences or as deemed necessary with the supervising OTR to advance the patient's program effectively.
- Promotes total rehabilitation services and acts as a team member to treatment plan.
- Attends and participates in departmental staff and team meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education.
- Maintains accurate records of patient treatment and equipment charges and submits required statistical and billing information.
- Writes formal progress and/or discharge summary notes (co-signed by OTR) to physician on a timely basis.
- Participates in departmental program development and takes responsibility for special clinics and programs as assigned.
- Affords assistance in maintaining and organizing the work area and equipment, noting safety and serviceable defects.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from a school approved by the AOTA and AMA.
- Registered or eligible for registry by the AOTA.
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
- CURRENT LICENSE BY THE STATE BOARD OF REGISTRATION IN MEDICINE.

- Experience in occupational therapy or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
