Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - COTA

About the role

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Follow the treatment set only as defined by the Occupational Therapist;
• To perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform;
• Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

• A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program;
• Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state;
• Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly & courteous;
• A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients;
• Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.

You currently possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
