About the role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Follow the treatment set only as defined by the Occupational Therapist;
- To perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform;
- Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Requirements
- A degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program;
- Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state;
- Adaptability, compassion, detail oriented, friendly & courteous;
- A moderate degree of physical strength is needed because of the exertion required to assist patients;
- Ability to kneel, stoop and stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation.
Qualifications
You currently possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
