About the role
We are looking for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs).
Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs)
- Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
Requirements
- Graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program with an Associate’s degree
- Current MN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License
- Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care
- Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, with sufficient communication skills to perform required tasks
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Ability to provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings
