Responsibilities Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.Performs catheter checksCleans equipment between each patient useSigns/initials documentationAssists registered nurse and/or physicans with exams and proceduresAssists with orientation of new employees as assignedPrepares chart for Medical Records upon dischargePerforms all duties in a professional and timely mannerRequires minimal supervision to safely perform essential functionsDocuments patient/resident care by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.Determines, translate, and implements relevant standards and promotes departmental complianceBlood glucose monitoringAssists with transfers and dischargePosition requires frequent standing and walking, along with lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping/crouching, and occasional sitting.Assists patients with activities of Daily LivingRecords accurate intake and output (to include NG, chest tube, ostomy bags, foley, etc.)Utilizes cost effective practices in performing all aspects of the jobAdheres to hospital policies including confidentialityIdentifies expected outcomes, attends meetingsTakes and records vital signs and weightAnswers the telephone in a prompt and courteous mannerRuns unit errands as neededMaintains a neat and properly ordered chartKeeps unit material/flow sheets stockedCompletes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirementsAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to work schedule as defined and overtime as requiredRelated duties as assignedCompletes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirementsAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to work schedule as defined and overtime as requiredRelated duties as assigned Additional Information Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
