About the role

This is a Full-Time (0.9 FTE), Day Shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight and operation of the unit.
  • Provides overall administrative and technical assistance and support in the operation of the assigned nursing unit.
  • Collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight and operation of the unit.
  • The CNA/HUC duties fall within these main categories:
  • Provides direct patient care.
  • Assists with daily living activities.
  • Coordinates with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensures patient safety and comfort.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Requirements

  • Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA course, or Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare.
  • Coursework/Training: Medical terminology course, or CNA coursework: Grandfathered to CNA per OSBN requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Experience with a variety of software applications.

Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: 1 year of post high school education, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Upon hire: National Certification Health Unit Coordinator.
  • Experience as a preceptor/role model, 1 year experience as a CNA.
