About the role
This is a Full-Time (0.9 FTE), Day Shift position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight and operation of the unit.
- Provides overall administrative and technical assistance and support in the operation of the assigned nursing unit.
- Collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight and operation of the unit.
- The CNA/HUC duties fall within these main categories:
- Provides direct patient care.
- Assists with daily living activities.
- Coordinates with interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensures patient safety and comfort.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA course, or Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare.
- Coursework/Training: Medical terminology course, or CNA coursework: Grandfathered to CNA per OSBN requirements.
- Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Experience with a variety of software applications.
Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: 1 year of post high school education, or equivalent education/experience.
- Upon hire: National Certification Health Unit Coordinator.
- Experience as a preceptor/role model, 1 year experience as a CNA.
