About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs duties necessary to provide the best in patient care, without requiring the service and judgment of a registered or licensed nurse. This individual provides and maintains a clean, safe, and quiet environment to support patient comfort and contentment. The CNA promotes the practice of family-centered care and provides supportive care to patients in all units with adequate supervision and cross-training. The role involves working cooperatively with medical staff and other hospital personnel to support the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as participating in performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean, safe, and quiet environment for patient comfort.
• Deliver supportive care to patients across all units with appropriate supervision.
• Promote family-centered care practices.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other hospital personnel to support patient care.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Completed course of instruction from an acceptable training school or equivalent training to meet designated requirements.
• Current CNA certification in the applicable state.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certified.

Qualifications

• One year of experience preferred.
