About the role

Join our team as a part-time Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Emplify Health by Gundersen Harmony Care Center in Harmony, MN. You’ll work 32 hours per week on PM shifts, including every other weekend and holidays, providing care and support to residents and their families in a family-based environment.

Don’t have a CNA certification? We’ll enroll you in a fully funded program to obtain your MN CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic care for patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse in an acute hospital setting.
• Transport and transfer patients safely within the medical complex.
• Assist with data collection to facilitate delegated nursing care.
• Accurately document resident care in an electronic medical record and demonstrate basic computer competency.
• Provide basic care in areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety.
• Ensure patient safety and participate in CNA and unit staff meetings.
• Engage in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and unit operations.
• Lift, push, pull, reach, and squat regularly, including lifting heavy objects.
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance, demonstrating flexibility as needed.
• Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using appropriate safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean environment and equipment.
• Demonstrate dependability, organizational skills, and effective time management by completing delegated tasks within established time frames.
• Uphold Gundersen Health System’s mission, policies, and confidentiality standards.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or willingness to obtain it through our fully funded program.
• If starting as a Nursing Assistant without certification, pay rate will be $19.55/hour until certification is obtained.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Pay

• Starting pay: $20.55/hour, with higher rates for experience.
• $2,500 sign-on bonus after 6 months of employment (taxes apply).
