About the role

Participates in the orientation of patients to the unit rules and regulations and introduces him/her to other community members. Performs patient care with attention to detail, patient safety and comfort. Accurately measures and records patient vital signs, input and output. Acts as patient advocate. Observes and reports specific patient behaviors related to patient problems/goals. Monitors patient behavior during non-structured activities; intervenes appropriately. Performs clerical tasks such as answering the phone, making up charts, filing, order entry, ordering supplies, etc. Assists in maintaining a therapeutic milieu environment; leads therapeutic patient activities as assigned. Assists staff in maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must maintain current certification from a certified nursing assistant training program.

Two years relevant experience preferred.
