About the Role

This position involves providing basic patient care tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring a compassionate approach that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with the RN.
• Perform patient care duties such as taking vital signs, blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, electrode placement, and operating venous compression devices.
• Assist with basic services like measuring height and weight, monitoring intake and output, retrieving supplies, and maintaining patient rooms.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
• Support communication with patients and families, including answering call lights, orienting new patients, and assisting with discharge procedures.
• Promote patient safety through mobility assistance and safety rounds.
• Enhance patient comfort by providing water, pillows, blankets, and meal assistance.
• Transport non-monitored and monitored patients, including those who are intubated.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Licensure/certification such as CNA, AEMT/Paramedic, MA, with BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
