About the Role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role supports seniors in a Christian environment with a focus on quality housing and services.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Measure vital signs and support psychosocial needs
- Help with food preparation, dining, housekeeping, and laundry to ensure a safe, clean environment
- Document resident interactions and communicate changes to nurses
- Support wellness and recreational activities
- Participate in committees or task forces as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process within four months
- Prior long-term care experience preferred
- Commitment to ongoing education and certification maintenance
- Ability to follow infection control policies and proper transfer techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- May require a valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving duties, if applicable
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
