About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors, emphasizing quality care in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will deliver resident-centered nursing care during night shifts in long-term care settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
- Record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and monitor residents' health conditions.
- Support psychosocial well-being and provide personal care and companionship.
- Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Help with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Document resident interactions, communicate changes to nursing staff, and support wellness and recreational activities.
- Follow infection prevention protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment appropriately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process within four months.
- Completion of annual competency testing and ongoing continuing education (minimum 12 hours yearly).
- Prior experience in long-term care is advantageous.
- For applicable roles, valid driver’s license and medical clearance may be required.
