Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care (LTC)

About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors with a focus on quality care in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA) serving as a caregiver in long-term care, you will support residents with daily living activities and basic health care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, resident-centered care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and vital sign recording.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises.
• Support nutritional needs by helping with meals and creating positive dining experiences.
• Document resident interactions, communicate changes to nursing staff, and assist with specimen collection.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks, and encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
• Support infection control policies and proper PPE use.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in progress within four months.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to complete competency testing and continuing education annually.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
• Valid driver’s license and medical clearance may be needed if driving is part of the role.
