Certified Nursing Assistant Inpatient

Duties & Responsibilities

• Attends to the individual needs of patients, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, providing comfort and communicating patient needs with other members of the healthcare team.
• Performs various tasks as assigned, including checking vital signs, weighing patients, applying creams/ointments, applying/changing dressings and collecting specimens.
• Maintains patient needs by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to healthcare team members.
• Serves as a conduit between patients and other healthcare providers by recording and communicating all issues to medical team members.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Stores and prepares rooms and medical equipment for patient and healthcare team member use.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. One (1) year of experience preferred. Proof of successful completion of health assessment and nursing foundation courses, in addition to basic medical/surgical clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program may be considered in lieu of designation as a CNA, MA and/or EMT.
• Licenses & Certifications: Designation as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), and/or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association is required.

Pay & Hours

• Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Hourly Range: $16.73 to $25.09
• Full Time, 36 hours per week
