CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT, HFMH - MEDICAL SURGICAL

About the role

Location: US:WI:MANITOWOC at the Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital facility. This is an on‑site position (0.9 FTE, 36 standard hours per week). The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age‑appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care skills, and basic restorative services.
• Practice and perform skills learned during CNA training or basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses.
• Provide continuous safety observation when requested.
• Report to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty for each shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification required; alternatively, be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses showing successful completion of the basic nursing course per Wisconsin administrative code, including at least one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA‑approved equivalent must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
