CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT, FMFH - MEDICAL SURGICAL 4TH FLOOR

About the role

Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital facility. This is an on‑site position with an FTE of 0.6 (standard hours 24.00 per week). Shift: Shift 1 (07:00‑19:30), holidays on an A/B rotation, and every third weekend.

Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated age‑appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care skills, and basic restorative services. The CNA practices and performs what was taught during CNA training and certification or learned during basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This role reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty each shift. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure required: State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification; alternatively, must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses showing successful completion of the basic nursing course meeting Wisconsin administrative code criteria, plus a minimum of one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA‑approved equivalent must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
