Certified Nursing Assistant FF

As part of PruittHealth’s (PH) top initiatives, a new division of Personal Care Services (PCS), PH Family First, is being piloted in the metro Atlanta market. PH Family First is looking to hire a CNA to join a winning team, assisting patients and caregivers with personal hygiene needs to increase patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal comfort care, dignity, and privacy for the patient
• Obtain vital signs of assigned patient(s)
• Follow procedures for handling medical emergencies or other incidents affecting service delivery
• Report patient progress and problems to supervisory personnel
• Observe and report any changes in condition, including skin integrity
• Provide comfort care, companionship, shopping/errands, meal prepping, housekeeping, appointment scheduling, and medication reminders
• Assist with patient transfer, ambulation, and exercise
• Provide personal hygiene, including bathing, shaving, oral hygiene, skin care, dressing, toileting, and hair care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the patient
• Coordinate care with agency RN Supervisor
• Maintain accurate and current records of visits
• Attend a minimum of 12 hours of annual in-service education and provide documentation to the agency
• Attend team meetings and staff development in-services and trainings
• Communicate effectively with patients and family members
• Provide a warm, friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, and patients
• Respond to expressed concerns with a helpful, caring demeanor and answer questions professionally
• Respond to change productively and handle additional projects as assigned
• Participate in agency surveys and any subsequently required reports
• Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to stay current with field changes
• Maintain current license/certification as required
• Honor patient’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to file complaints
• Comply with corporate compliance program
• Report job-related functions/tasks involving occupational hazards, including exposure to blood and body fluids
• Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and smoking regulations
• Follow safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment
• Use Matrix Care documenting system after receiving training
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Active, current, unrestricted CNA certification in the state of practice
• One (1) year of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting
• Current registration in State Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Nurse Aide
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
