About the Role

PruittHealth’s new division of Personal Care Services (PCS), PH Family First, is being piloted in the metro Atlanta market. We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and assist patients and caregivers with personal hygiene needs to increase patient comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal comfort care, dignity, and privacy for the patient.
• Obtain vital signs of assigned patient(s).
• Follow procedures for handling medical emergencies or incidents affecting service delivery.
• Report patient progress and problems to supervisory personnel.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition, including skin integrity.
• Provide comfort care, companionship, shopping/errands, meal prepping, housekeeping, appointment scheduling, and medication reminders.
• Assist with patient transfer, ambulation, and exercise.
• Provide personal hygiene, including bathing, shaving, oral hygiene, skin care, dressing, toileting, and hair care.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the patient.
• Coordinate care with the agency RN Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and current records of visits.
• Attend a minimum of 12 hours of annual in-service education and provide documentation.
• Attend team meetings, staff development in-services, and trainings.
• Communicate effectively with patients and family members, providing a warm and approachable attitude.
• Respond to concerns with a helpful and caring demeanor; answer questions professionally.
• Adapt to change productively and handle additional projects as assigned.
• Participate in agency surveys and required reports.
• Attend continuing educational programs to stay updated on field changes.
• Maintain current licensure/certification as required.
• Honor patient rights to fair treatment, self-determination, privacy, and property.
• Comply with the corporate compliance program.
• Report job-related functions involving occupational hazards, including exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Follow established safety regulations, including infection control and equipment safety.
• Use the Matrix Care documenting system after receiving training.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active, current, unrestricted CNA certification in the state of practice.
• One (1) year of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting.
• Current registration in the State Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Nurse Aide.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.

Schedule

Full-time, 1st Shift.
