Certified Nursing Assistant - Days

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs duties necessary to provide the best in patient care, but not to the extent requiring service and judgment of a registered or licensed nurse. This individual provides and maintains a clean, safe and quiet environment in support of patient comfort and contentment. The CNA promotes the practice of family-centered care and provides supportive care to patients in all units with adequate supervision and cross-training. The CNA works cooperatively with the medical staff and other hospital staff who support the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a clean, safe, and quiet environment to support patient comfort.
• Deliver supportive care to patients across all units with adequate supervision and cross-training.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other hospital personnel to ensure quality care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Completed course of instruction from an acceptable training school or equivalent training that meets designated requirements.
• Current CNA certification in the applicable state.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certified.

Qualifications

• One year of experience preferred.
