Responsibilities
Under the direction/supervision of RN, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant or intermediate or higher level Emergency Medical Technician program.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Satisfactory completed a nurse aide course, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assisting
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of clinical experience (Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Skilled Nursing Unit)
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, EKG Tech certification required
- REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position
