Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Telemetry FT night
About the Role
Be the heart of compassionate care in a patient care support role. In this vital position, you'll provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. Under the direction and supervision of an RN, you will deliver basic nursing care for an assigned group of patients across various units, including:
- General Nursing Units (patients aged 15 years to maturity)
- Special Care Areas (patients aged 15 years through adult with high-risk conditions)
- Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Pediatric care)
- GI Lab Unit (patients aged 24 months through adult)
- Chemical Dependent and Psychiatric Units (adult patients and families)
- Emergency Unit (patients of all ages)
- Surgical Services (patients from neonate to geriatric)
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. You will complete established competencies within the designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
- Assist patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort and well-being.
- Support clinically competent nursing staff in delivering care tailored to specific patient populations.
- Complete required competencies and training within the introductory period.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent (minimum education).
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association). Must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to the position.
Qualifications
- Preferred Education: Completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course.
- Preferred Experience: 6 months in the healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
