Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Pool

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years of nursing assistant experience
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Current LNA, CNA, or UCNA licensure with state of Arizona

Essential Functions

• Assists clinical staff in PACU/Pre-Op by facilitating the patient flow
• Transports patient belongings from Pre-Op to PACU, locking all belongings in patient locker
• Cleans monitors and sets up Pre-Op bays for incoming patients
• Stocks supplies in Pre-Op and PACU
• Assists patients to the restroom in Pre-Op
• Transports patients to their vehicle from PACU
• Aids charge nurse with any clerical needs
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of patients in the delivery of services to them
• Interacts with patient in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment
• Maintains flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs
• Ability to work in multiple hospital units
• Fosters a positive and professional hospital environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member
