Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Paid Learning Opportunity

What will you do as a C.N.A.?

You will assist residents in performing activities of daily living. This requires assisting with maintaining and improving the resident's quality of life to the highest functional level.

CNA Apprenticeship

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required or 4 years of relevant working experience.
• Daily assessments will be provided to advance the associate through the levels of apprenticeship: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
• It is required that the apprentice remain employed with Thompson Health for at least one year from certification.
• Must be willing to provide excellent care to residents
• Must have strong communication & customer service skills
• Apprentices must be team-oriented, dependable, and honest
• Must have the ability to handle unpleasant sights and odors
• Must maintain a positive attitude
• Must be empathetic, compassionate & courteous to residents
• Must commit to working every other weekend and holiday after obtaining the certification.

Pay

• Pay Rate during class: $17.50 per hour
• Once Certified: $20.00 per hour
