Worker Type: Regular | Shift: Day (6am-6:30pm) | Weekend Warrior position: work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 5 out of 6 weekends for a 25% incentive; 72 hours per pay period

About the role
The Nurse Assistant is in training to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. You will provide direct, personal care and services to residents in the skilled nursing facility, meeting their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs daily to maintain and improve their highest level of independent function.

Responsibilities
- Train to become Nurse Assistant certified and/or Medication Aide certified.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, repositioning, and toileting.
- Serve and collect food trays; encourage and/or assist with feeding.
- Answer call lights and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Transport patients upon admission and dismissal; assist with ambulation and orientation/reorientation to the facility.
- Perform vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight.
- Document concise and factual information on appropriate forms.
- Assist residents with specific medical care activities and restorative exercises as directed by nursing staff; collect specimens.
- Assess and document completed cares; provide immediate feedback to nursing staff on patient status, changes in condition, pain management, and other concerns.
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean work environment, including cleaning procedures.
- Provide emotional, educational, and spiritual support for families.
- Comply with all aspects of resident rights, including confidentiality and privacy; report allegations of abuse or misappropriation of property.
- Follow established policies and procedures for fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plans, universal precautions, infection control, and hazardous/chemical communication.
Requirements
- Ability to work the specified weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 5 out of 6 weekends).
- Visual acuity and communication skills adequate to perform position duties, including hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech and other sounds.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations for disabilities, provided they do not cause undue hardship to the employer.
Qualifications
- Required: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) licensure in the state of practice within 120 days of hire.
- Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Pay
$19.75 - $27.50 per hour (actual pay rate dependent upon experience).
