Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Nursing Float Pool

Responsibilities

• Aid in routine examinations and procedures
• Procure equipment and supplies during emergencies
• Observe, collect, and document patient information
• Report significant changes in patient condition to RNs or MDs
• Assist patients with admission, orientation, and discharge
• Provide care/treatments as outlined in the plan of care
• Monitor vital signs, measure height and weight, collect specimens, perform skin preps, catheter care, blood glucose checks, simple wound care, range-of-motion exercises, drain care, assist with ADLs
• Maintain a clean work environment, change linens, monitor supply levels, transport patients/specimens
• Ensure competency in required skills and complete annual competency assessments
• Adhere to policies and processes, perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Nursing Assistant certification (Nurse Aide I registration)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
