Maine Medical Center Portland | Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit | Full-Time, Night-Shift | 3, 12-hour Shifts | Weekends Required
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA) with 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full-time) and 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full-time).
Candidates hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Unit Bio
- 51 bed level lll-lV unit
- Largest ICU in the state of Maine
- Single rooms with state of the art equipment
- Works closely with all disciplines including surgical, cardiac, GI, genetics, renal, palliative care etc.
- Neonatologists and APP’s cover 24/7
- Nursing staff of 150
- Active critical care transport team
- Nurse-driven PICC Team
- NICU: 31 beds
- Continuing Care Nursery: 20 beds
Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
- License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- Experience: One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role
