For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs):

  • 0 - 1 years of experience is eligible for up to $2,500 (full time)
  • 1+ years of experience eligible for up to $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time ANA/CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant – Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Unit Information

Med Surg 3 (MS3) is a fast-paced 56-bed Adult Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. The healthcare team provides care to adult complex patient populations from a wide variety of medical-surgical services including, but not limited to, Pulmonary, Renal, Infectious Disease, GI, Cardiac, Hematology/Oncology, and Orthopedics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
  • Relevant experience preferred

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).

Schedule

  • Full-Time, Night Shift
  • 3, 12-hour shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Every third weekend
