Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Med Surg

About the role

Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, you will provide basic and intermediate nursing care for an assigned group of patients based on competence. This role covers various units:

• General Nursing Units: care for patients from age 18 years to maturity (unit-specific variation may apply).
• Special Care Areas: care for patients 18 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
• Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery care includes patients with pregnancy-related conditions; Nursery care includes newborns until discharge.
• Endoscopy Unit: cares for patients 18 years and older.
• Emergency Department: provides care to patients of all ages.
• Behavioral Health/Gero-Psych Unit: provides care for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care.

You will complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent (required).
• Possession of a current state or national nurse’s aide certification or certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical assistant, EKG tech, or in another related field (required).
• BLS certification obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center (required).
• 1 year of hospital experience (preferred).
