About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Emergency Department assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintained per facility requirement.

Schedule

Part-time (over 59 hours per pay period), evening shift (8-hour shifts).
