About the Role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting, supporting residents with daily living activities, basic health needs, and psychosocial support under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs documentation.
- Support residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and creating a positive dining experience.
- Gather specimens, communicate health changes, and document care interactions.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean environment.
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities and support departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 18.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process of obtaining.
- Experience in long-term care preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control, resident care procedures, and documentation practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Must meet state-specific certifications and maintain continuing education.
- May require a valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving responsibilities.
Schedule
The role involves travel within a 75-mile radius to support multiple locations.
