Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Human Services Technician (HST) / Various Part-Time Vacancies & Shifts

About the role

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs seeks to fill multiple part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) positions at the Bemidji Veterans Home (MVH-Bemidji). These positions are available on various shifts, including Day, Evening, and Night, and may include weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility.
• Absorb and document resident care needs and preferences.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Ensure safety and quality of care are provided.
• Help residents attain their highest functional capabilities.
• Adhere to infection control protocols.

Requirements

• Currently registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Able to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a CNA training program.
• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of long-term care principles and practices.

Pay

$21.59 - $28.94 per hour PLUS $2.25/hour shift differential for all hours worked after 6:00pm and before 6:00am.

Schedule

Work shift and work hours will depend on the vacancy being filled. Days of work vary, including weekends as assigned.
