About the role
Responsible for providing compassionate care to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and other health-related tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Administer medications as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety and comfort.
- Monitor client’s health status and report any changes to supervising nurse.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of living spaces.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Passing score on a criminal background check.
Qualifications
- Experience in home care or related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- First aid and CPR certifications are beneficial but not required.
