What you will do
- Provides assistance to residents with their activities of daily living
- Performs routine duties and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff
- Aids in bathing, dressing, shaving, oral hygiene, bed making, transfers, toileting, feeding, and answering call lights
- Documents concise and factual information on the appropriate forms
- Assists with restorative exercises, collects specimens, and documents completed cares
- Communicates status or changes in patient conditions, pain management, and other concerns to nursing staff
- Restocks supplies and maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Supports families emotionally, educationally, and spiritually
- Maintains confidentiality and reports all allegations of abuse or misappropriation of resident property
- Complies with all aspects of resident rights and policies including fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control procedures, and hazardous and chemical communication program
Essential Qualifications
- Must be able to work the specified hours
- Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Licensing Board in the state of practice within 120 Days
- High School or GED Equivalent
- Less than 1 year related experience or training
