What You Will Do
- Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
- Absorb and promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
- Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
- Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
- Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
- Navigate and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
- Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
- Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
- Perform other special projects and duties, as assigned.
What You Need
- Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
