Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - FloatPool
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs): 0 - 1 years of experience is eligible for up to $2,500 (full time), 1+ years of experience eligible for up to $4,000 (full time). Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time ANA/CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
About the role
The Nursing Float Pool is the department for CNAs seeking a challenge and exposure to a broad range of patient acuity levels. The CNA joining the Float Pool aims to gain or build upon a broad range of clinical skills and knowledge, with the ability to float between Medical-Surgical Units focusing on Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses, as well as the Special Care unit. This provides great exposure to specialties while expanding experience and skills.
The Certified Nursing Assistant assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing a variety of direct and indirect care duties.
Schedule
- Part-Time, Day-Shift
- 24 Hours per week
- 2, 12-Hour Shifts
- Every third weekend
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- Relevant experience preferred
