About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Responsibilities

  • Floating between Medical-Surgical Units with a focus on Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses.
  • Gaining or building upon a broad range of clinical skills and knowledge base.
  • Providing care to patients with various acuity levels.
  • Assisting with patient activities of daily living.
  • Reporting observations and changes in patient condition to the RN.
  • Participating in ongoing education and skill development.

Requirements

  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Pay

  • Sign-on bonuses available for CNAs with 0-1 years of experience ($2,500 full-time) and 1+ years of experience ($4,000 full-time).

Schedule

  • 24 hours per week.
  • 2, 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Every third weekend.
