Responsibilities
- Attend required case conferences, continuing education, meetings, and in-services
- Auxiliary with therapies as necessary
- Administer medications as per state guidelines
- Prepare and serve meals
- Assist with personal care tasks
- Perform household chores
- Provide companionship and support
- Document services provided
- Report unusual conditions and unsafe situations
- Transport clients
- Take vital signs
- Comply with employment policies
Requirements
- Valid current Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification
- Valid current CPR and First Aid certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid current driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand directions in English
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
- Enthusiasm for working with elderly and disabled people
- Professional, cooperative, and effective communication skills
